We are a small group of local residents who have been providing sports and other activities to the community since the start of The Manor in 2005. We have been working hard to bring the manor to its full potential and see our great space get used for recreational community sports and activities. We aim to build stronger communities through sports and leisure.
Our board of local resident directors and volunteers from the local community took over the sports hall which was removed from the councils budget in 2005 because it was too expensive to run. It was only being used up to 16-Hrs per week and today the manor hall is booked out for more than 60-Hrs per week. With the hall at full capacity we decided to fundraise to extend our facilities.
We now have a multi use games area which will accommodate Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, and 3G pitches for football training, matches and tournaments. The site is on Manor Road, East Brighton BN2 5EA and is the only flat recreational area serving the 6,000 people who live within walking distance.
