V K Gym
At VK Gym we offer a welcoming and supportive environment in a friendly, family-run space. Work out in our fully equipped gym then relax in the comfortable lounge area with a well-earned coffee. Here at VK Gym our aim is to help you reach your health and fitness goals by working with you - all the way!. Well, we're very aware of those old jokes about joining a gym, paying every month, then never going.

That doesn't happen so much with our clients. And that's not only because it's a great place to come and work out - we have a genuine interest in how you're doing. We're not a corporate machine that's only interested in your money and doesn't care if you actually turn up or not. We work with you to set up the best kind of routine, allowing you do achieve your goals.

Then we check in with you regularly. If you're struggling, we'll do everything to help overcome those obstacles, because it matters to us that you get the results you're seeking, and live a fit and healthy life. Our members are like an extended family - and you care about how your family are doing, right?.
Services
Originally set up as a boxing gym, VK became the home of Bognor Amateur Boxing Club, and it still is today.
However, it soon became more than just a sparring space.
Already home to a great set of free weights, Charlie added resistance machines, and over time, the gym saw many new members, who were not interested in boxing, join to take advantage of the new equipment for a more regular workout.
Charlie was joined by his cousin Jack, a qualified fitness trainer, and the friendly, family-run approach VK is known and loved for was established.
Whatever you want, just give us a call on 01243 862279 and we'll book you in for a consultation so we can chat about how we can help.
When you train regularly or play a sport, your body is put under stress.
Usually there are repetitive movements that you will adapt to, but sometimes your muscles and soft tissues can be put under excess strain.
This can result in some aches and pains as you get used to the routine - occasionally you may develop an injury.
Sports massage is a specific technique that manipulates the soft tissues to support and promote healing of sports related strains and injuries.
Right now, when you walk into the gym, the first thing you'll notice is the two full size boxing rings - they're kind of hard to miss!
VK was originally set up as a boxing gym, though as the years have gone by, we have more and more regular gym members joining us.
Some, we know, are put off or intimidated by the rings - but we have an answer to that lined up.
From later in 2017, we'll be taking over the whole of the unit next door and half of it will be dedicated to boxing.
That means the rings are moving - and there will be an amazing space dedicated to regular gym equipment.
One of the most effective ways to ensure you reach your health and fitness goals is to work with a Personal Trainer (PT).
Here at VK Gym we're lucky to have a fantastic group of inspiring PTs who are all driven and passionate about helping people to get the results they want and need.
Some of them specialise in certain areas, such as weight loss or rehabilitation after injury.
They are all great all round trainers and will help you to formulate the right workout and plan for you.
They will want to know what you are looking to achieve and why - then armed with that knowledge they discuss with you what is going to help you get results, what you are going to enjoy and how you can motivate yourself to turn up and to do the work!
Dean's story is incredibly inspiring - age 17 he was in a serious car crash.
He spent three weeks in an induced coma in hospital, having sustained serious brain injuries.
When he woke up he was paralysed from the neck down and the doctors told him he would never walk again.
He left hospital in a wheelchair but was determined to prove the medics wrong.
Talk about overcoming the odds - yes, Dean can walk, and much more!
He was a semifinalist in Series 2 of Ninja Warrior on ITV, and appeared as a trainer on the Davina McCall series, Make My Body Better, on Channel 4. He's hoping to have another go at Ninja Warrior soon so keep your eyes peeled for him.
